Kids DO say the funniest things...

This morning Samantha was getting ready for breakfast..her usual-yogurt. We have had her little picnic table inside since it has been so hot out-well, now that the weather is great the table is back outside.
So this morning she said, "I want to eat at my little table". So I told her now that the weather is nice your table is outside. And she said, "Yeah-and when the weather is mean my table can come back in."
I just about died laughing. She was probably wondering what was so funny-she just cracks me up!

Firsts

Today was Cole's first trip to the zoo. He slept through most of it but seemed to enjoy himself:)
It got us reminiscing so of course I had to post some pics of Sammie's first zoo excursion.
Then we came home and Samantha had a few sips from her first crazy straw cup...which she loves by the way:)

Crab legs

I was going through some of my teaching boxes and found a bag of brand new ocean puppets to show Sammie. Well, she decided that Cole likes the crab-so that's how it's going to be. She likes to be in charge around here you know.
Cole was playing with his crab today and I think he's going to like seafood from the way he was manhandling the crab legs! (Sorry Susan-I know you don't support eating swimmers!!)

Samantha and I were playing with her ABC puzzle and along came a thought...and we had some fun! Sammie wanted to teach Cole his letters:)

Goodnight moon

Our evening routine usually goes like this: eat dinner, while mom cleans the kitchen dad and Sam play in the back yard, say goodnight to "Luna" (the moon for you non Spanish speakers), bath, piggy back ride, story and bed.
Well, tonight Peter wasn't home so the routine was slightly altered! After dinner we played outside but Sammie didn't have any pants on so it was "undie night" at the South house! Samantha was taking small pebbles and putting them in Zoey's water and stirring with her little shovel. So nice of her to make Zoey a lovely concoction.
Then a quick bath, a short show and in bed and asleep by 6:55!!! (Oh yeah, I forgot to mention she refused a nap today.)
