The Princess and the Dragon

Well, our little dragon and beautful princess had quite an evening. Samantha was so excited to put on her costume and get "princessy". Cole was so adorable in his little dragon costume...although Halloween bored him. He pretty much slept through the trick or treating!
Samantha went to about 4 houses and then said, "that's enough candy".
I have to say I now understand why people don't take their kids out...people were trying to scare her...she is 2 for goodness sake. I almost lost it, so we called it a night and hung out with out neighbors.

Punkin Lunkin

So last night was pumpkin carving night. As expected Samantha wanted nothing to do with it. She thought that when we cut it open there would be candy inside and when she saw what was really inside she was out.
She said maybe next year she'll get her hands all messy!!!
That's my child-I know!
But, she did decorate her little pumpkin with some lovely stickers and it was a fun night:)
Happy Halloween!!!

Welcome back Dave!!!

As many of you know, or neighbor Dave has been in Kuwait the last 6 months. He got home today and there was a big celebration to welcome him home.
It was sweet-there were signs and decorations, food and fun. But more importantly Dave got to come home to his wife Tiffany who missed him like crazy and his 6 month old baby boy Zachary who has missed his daddy!
Welcome home Dave.
Thanks for serving our country.:)

Grace, Isaiah, Laney and Sammie welcoming home the soldier!

Patriotic Sammie!

Tiffany, Zachary and Dave.
This says it all.
This was a picture they ahd in the house-hilarious!
Red otter pop face to match the theme!
So glad to be together again.
I missed my daddy!!!

Scary little cuties

Halloween is coming and we're getting ready! (I had to bribe Sammie with candy to even get her to pose for these pictures!)
Look at the size of this boy-he is going to be bigger than Sammie within the year if he keeps eating/growing the way he is! I think their heads are about the same size-sheesh.

Dinner with friends

It is a long standing tradition that the Souths and the Avilas get together for a Halloween dinner. You see, Aaron really really loves Halloween. So we let him cook us a yummy dinner, entertain us with fun Halloween movies and then we dress the kids in their costumes for an early previewing.
We have been doing this for 10 years now!!! (The movie selection was a little different before kids!)
Thanks for the fun night Avilas!!!
