Who needs toys?

Today we played old school style. You know-playing with things around the house instead of the same old toys.

We broke out the sticker box and made a sticker poster for daddy. What could be more fun than dumping a whole box of stickers out on the floor and then sticking them on the wall (on a paper of course!) I'm all about fun-but let's not get crazy.

Then daddy came home and showed Sammer his "va-nock-u-larz" as she calls them. It was pretty funny seeing her little face smushed up to the lenses. She is very inquisitive and into everything these days...especially if it has anything to do with daddy! She is definately a daddy's girl (which is fine with us:)

It's exhausting

It is exhausting being a big boy. Today Cole went in for his 6 month check up. He is a whopping 19lbs 3oz and 27&1/2 inches long!!! He's 85% for weight and 90% for height!!! I can't believe it! He is going to outgrow his sister within the year I think:)
Poor thing got some shots too while we were there...be he did get to rock some pretty cool Snoopy Bandaids. I wish I would have had my camera as he was going down for his nap. I heard him making lots of noise so I went to check on him and he was holding 2 of the 3 Bandaids up and kind of yelling at them, "You darn Bandaids-ouch!"
Kind of grosses me out that he got them off and was "playing" with them but I guess this is only the beginning of gross boy things that will be happening, right? And---at least they were his own Bandaids!!
Then-out like a light...our good little sleeper. He has been sleeping through the night lately. For those of you who know us, you know that Sammie doesn't even do that (she's a bit of a sleepwalker--this was passed on to her from daddy...thanks daddy). Cole must take after his mommy and love sleep--good boy!

A Memorable Day...

Yesterday was a big day...Cole was a swingin. Sammie helped and gave him a couple pushes. He loved it. I think he is going to be our adventure/adreneline junkie. He's our happy, little big boy.
Today is his 6 month birthday...happy birthday cutie pie!

Then, Sammie decided it was time to get married...She put one of her tutu's on her head and the other around her waist. Then she waited for Daddy to come home so she could have her first father/daughter dance...she also informed us that she wanted her wedding dress to be red!!! Um-no! Yikes, we have some work to do:)

The first of many...

Tonight was the first of many...baths together that is. Who wants to do 2 baths when you can do em both at the same time?! We're all about efficiency (and laughing out loud of course)! Sam and Cole both loved this and just laughed and laughed. It was sooo cute.

Can I just say that I love my kids...more and more every day. Even when they frustrate me to no end...like tonight when Samantha would not go to sleep...and then she said, "I just don't want to sleep by myself". What do you say to that? Ah the joys of parenthood:) You just can't be mad that they want to be with you...because soon that day will be gone! Too soon...

Sweet sweet sweet potatoes

Sweet potatoes were on the menu today and Cole was not too sure. Every bite he took he made the ew face and shook his head like it was a shock to his system. Thankfully, they stayed down. So we'll keep shoveling them in and hopefully he won't look so upset with every bite.
