Days like today are perfect park days. Perfect weather and good friends to enjoy it with! Sammie and BFF Ana had a great time running around like crazy animals, a picnic, swinging, and generally having fun being kids. Cole even joined in the fun and went on the swings. He loves to swing and roll around on the blanket. Thanks for meeting up with us-we had a great mroning...and ...I got the double nap--WOO HOO!!!
Samantha went fishing with Daddy yesterday in the back yard. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen! I looked out the window and there they were sitting in the middle of the yard with his fishing pole. She wants a fishing pole for her birthday (word on the street is that Grandpa is going to hook her up!) Daddy is going to have to take her fishing-if for nothing else it will be a great photo op!!!
Our friends the Avilas came over Sunday for a BBQ. The weather was great so we set up camp out back and the kids had a blast playing together. It's fun to watch them play-they have a daughter Camille and a son Diego. They are about 2 years apart and it's like looking into the future! You should have seen those 2 girls letting Diego know what he could and could not do...Cole was really happy to see another boy in the house though. He is used to lots of little girls running around. I'm sure he won't mind that later in life! Thanks for coming over Avilas, it was fun!
Sammie loves her brother-but she also loves her other baby--Baucula--don't ask. She loves this doll (who is obviously supposed to be a boy but she refuses to have a boy baby). Today she was sharing her baby with Cole-it was a first and was cracking me up. She was making them hold hands and wanted me to take pictures of it all. Everyday brings new opportunities to laugh out loud with my kids! Also notice-Cole is going to be outgrowing Sammie very soon. Today we went to the doctor to get a flu shot and they weighed him...20lbs10oz!!!! Yowza!
Today when Cole woke up from his afternoon nap we went outside for some fresh air and I guess he got too warm and comfy because he totally zonked out. It was so cute. His eyes would droop shut then a couple seconds later he'd look up to make sure I was still there. I guess it was really relaxing in the warm sun with no older sister talking in his ear (she was taking a nap of her own-woo hoo!) I can't believe how quiet my house is when they are both asleep---ah---peace!
