Grammie and Grandpa came up to Phoenix for a quick visit. They sure know how pack in the fun-we had dinner, read books with Grammie (a must), grandpa helped decorate the "clubhouse", we played "Mr. Fox"--(thank you Hegartys for introducing us to that fun game), ran an obstacle couse...or as Sammie calls it--a hobstacle course, and then it was time to say goodnight. Thanks for the fun visit Grammie and Grandpa-let's do it again soon!!!
We love it when Grammie reads to us:) Nice artwork Grandpa. Cleaning the grass!!! Scratching Zoey's back-silly Grandpa!
Today Peter was in California all day and my friend Mary's husband Brian was away all day too so I told her to come over with Tyler so we could be single moms together:) We had both had a long day and it was nice to just be with another adult! The boys actually kind of played together-it was sweet. Then, we put them in the tub. This was Tyler's first friend bath and although it had a rocky start-it was recovered. Then the kids got to hang out together in jammies. We tried so hard to get a picture but they were too busy--they're still cute though:) Thanks for coming over Tyler, let's do it again soon!
Tonight Cole was given his first taste at real big boy food. So maybe a carrot wheel isn't real food but hey let's take what we can get. So he started off strong, and then he got a chunk off and almost gagged...not so good. So, it was back to the mush. Someday Cole, you will have more teeth and will get to eat yummy, chunky big boy food. But that day is not today-sorry!!!
Now that Cole can move, he moves! He is into anything and everything. The locks are comin out buddy-sorry! His new favorite thing-Sammie's kitchen. Maybe he'll be a foodie like his daddy. Ok, so my son plays in a powder pink kitchen, but there are worse things, right?
Cole has been crawling under Sammie's easel to find the fireplace. He likes to play with the knobs. There is also a wire behind the baseboards that he found. It's like his own personal little fort under there. And it's like he knows that he's doing something sneaky because he looks at you with a silly face when you call him.
