Great Grandpa's 89th Birthday

Today we went to a party for Great Grandpa John's 89th birthday. The party was fun. Tons of our family was there and the kids loved playing with all of their cousins. Unfortunately I did not do a great job taking pictures. I didn't even get a picture of my Grandpa...the star of the party. Sheesh. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Tonight Maura came over for some pizza making, backyard playing, bathtub frolicking, pajama partying, movie watching fun. The girls have such a fun time together and are so sweet to each other. Thanks for another fun playdate Maura!

Encanto Park

Thursday morning the kids and I drove across town to Encanto Park. One of my good friends from college, Chrissy, was in town visiting with her kids before her big move across the country to Atlanta. So we met up for a fun morning.
Encanto park is pretty awesome. It is a huge park that has a playground, water, boats, and best of all...a small amusement park. I know! It has a carousel, train, rides, water, so much fun.
It was so good to see Chrissy and her kiddos. She has a daughter, Natalie, who is 4. She and Sammie were fast friends. It really made me sad that she and her family are moving to Atlanta. Good luck Ursetta family on your new adventure. We miss you. Thanks for the fun day!

A good day to play

Today was another beautiful day so we called up Aunt Gina to see if she and the kids would like to meet up for a picnic/playdate at the park. Sammie was super excited to see her cousins:) Cole was loving it too.

Saturday

This has been such a great morning so far...kids slept in til 7:00, went for a very beautiful walk, Cole has been asleep for 3 hours now (not sure what that's about-more growing?, and Sammie has been entertaining herself...as you can see! I even got a shower today! Peter is coming home early today and we are heading to downtown Tempe for Oktoberfest later this afternoon... some days it just all comes together!
