Happy Halloween

This year was a fun Halloween. Cole was a lion and Sammie was Snow White. We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house and trick or treated on thier street then went home to check out our neighborhood.
We weren't really sure what to expect because Sammie is pretty shy but this year she came out of her shell. She was practically running from house to house--so cute--she'd pick up her dress and book it! Ring the bell and say "trick or treat" and "thank you". It was so great. And Cole surprisingly stayed in his costume and walked around. He held onto that pumpkin for dear life-even when it was pretty heavy from all of the candy inside. He even roared a few times!
Great memories.

Playing with their blowers from Asher's party earlier in the day.

Playing together.

My attempt of a picture of them together-not so much!

Cole the lion...he was so cute in his furry little costume!

Sammie the princess...as always! Her bucket was FULL!

Happy Halloween.

15 months

Cole had his 15 month check up on Wednesday and everything went great, except for the shots of course.
He weighs 24lbs10oz and is 31 and 1/2in. This is roughly 50% and 60%. Of course his head measured 95%. We have large heads in this family!

He is getting bigger and smarter every day. Here are some of things he's into at the moment...
-airplanes--they are a big deal.
-books-especially flip flaps
-family
-the park
-swinging
-being outside all the time
-pears, that's new!
-shoes
-being as smily as can be

We love you Cole Train:)

Pumpkin night

Another fun year of pumpmin carving/decorating. Cole stickered his little pumpkin and Sammie decided on circle eyes and nose with a smily face. "I want a nice pumpkin", she said!
Cole was tired so he didn't last too long, but Sammer even helped Daddy carve his. She wasn't too into the scooping of seeds and goo, but who is?
Cole thought he should taste the pumpkin seeds and didn't like it when Daddy told him no. That's when he quit.
It's fun to watch them grow and create memories.
Happy Halloween!

Ready to carve...

What do you got there sis?

Telling Aunt Katie all about her pumpkin.

Pulling out seeds.

Hmmm...what's this?

Wonder if it tastes any good....

nope!!!

Is it clean yet?

Happy pumpkin.

The whole family of pumpkins!

Halloween party and parade

Today at preschool Sammie had a Halloween party and parade. The kids got to wear their costumes to school and had a little parade around the courtyard to show off their looks.
It was pretty funny watching their expressions. Samantha loved it. She really enjoyed the day, and took a great nap later to prove how much fun she had!
This is such a great age, she is so excited to go trick-or-treating this year.
So fun.

Fall in Virginia

Last week I went to Virginia to spend some time with my sister Katie and her husband Adam. They just bought a house in June, which is gorgeous by the way, and are busy making it a home.
We had such a great time. I don't know what was better, going out or staying in! I think both. Although the shopping sprees were fun, and quite memorable. Thanks sis!!!

Katie and I think we should have our own show. We are way more entertaining than the Kardashians...at least we think so! Ha! I don't think anyone else really "gets" us, but that's the great thing about sisters I guess.

My mom even came up for a day and all three of us got to hang, which hasn't happend in a long time. That should change!

In all my trips to Va I don't think I have ever timed it so perfectly with the trees all changing literally before our eyes. The tree in their backyard was full and redish when I got there and almost empty and brown when I left. It was sooo beautiful.
Here are some of my favorite memories from the trip: the trees, Katie's porch every morning, laughing, our chat at Cheesecake, fancy lunch-and dinner, martinis, sleep, cribbage, our leaf walk, spending time with my mom and sister at the same time, just relaxing with someone I love dearly.
Love you sis!

Katie and Adam.

Their trees seem bigger too.

My favorite-so many colors.
Ahhh, fall!!!!

Last leaf on the tree!
New homeowners.
