The Hegarty hunt

Our good friends, the Hegartys, were so kind to invite us over yesterday afternoon for dinner, another hunt and some fun. The kids had a blast hunting eggs in their HUGE yard. And, apparently the Easter bunny really loves them because he brought a LOT of eggs!!!
Then some yummy food and play, play, play!
Thanks Hegartys for the wonderful Easter-you guys are the best!
And when I asked Samantha what her favorite part of the day was as I was tucking her in..."finding eggs with Ana"--so sweet!

Get ready....

Cole was a pro!

Look at me!

Checking out their loot.

Of course there was football.
And a small chat in the wagon.
Wagon rides!!! The night ended with the daddies
pulling the girls around.

Happy Easter

We had a beautiful Easter yesterday. Woke up to a house full of eggs for the kids to find...which they did. Cole was so excited and once he put it together that the eggs had candy it was nonstop "more, more."
Church was out on the lawn, a great way to celebrate--but it was a but warm!!! Church and a tan I say!
We had no plans the rest of the day so we ended up going out to lunch-whiuch turned out to be wonderful because nobody was out! We had the whole place to ourselves practically. Then home to do some work and over to friends for dinner (that will be a separate blog!)
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your families.

Bubba, bubba

That's all we've been hearing since we got little bubble bottles in our goodie bags from Tyler's bday party. We got home and let Cole give it a try and he was SO amused with himself when he could actually blow bubbles!!! Every day when he sees the bubbles outside he starts with the chant, "bubba, bubba, bubba, more, more". It is pretty impressive to see him standing there, holding the bubbles bottle and wand and blowing bubbles all around the yard! Good job big guy:)

Sammie's 4th birthday

Last Sunday we had Sammie's big 4th birthday bash at Tumbleweed, one of our favorite parks. It was cute that Sammie actually requested that park-made me laugh. We had tons of family and friends come out to celebrate and were so glad they did.
It was a beautiful day and we really couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in another year for Samantha.
Some highlights: Samantha riding her bike with friends, blowing out her candles, telling me it was her best birthday ever, watching all of the kids whack the pinata (which Sammie broke open with the very first swing!), visiting with family and good friends, hearing about the underdog performed by the Olimb crew (too bad I missed it), Vivian (my cousin's little girl) asking me how I knew her name, and the look on Samantha's face as she opened her presents---sheer joy!
We can't believe we already have a four year old on our hands. Time has flown by and we are excited to see what this year will bring.
Thanks to all who came out to party with us!

Sweet stuff

Yesterday was cupcake day...I baked about 50 cupcakes for Sammie's bday party. Of course I had my little helpers...well-lickers!
