Last day of school

I can not believe I am already writing this post. The LAST day of preschool. I am going to be such a mess when Sammie starts kindergarten...sniffle, sniffle.
Today was fun, the kids got to bring lunch and eat together outside under the trees. Then the parents came back at the end of class and the kids sang some of their favorite songs. Then the teachers called the kids up one by one and gave them a goodie bag, new book and a scrapbook. SO sweet. They collected work, pictures and wrote down things the kids' said throughout the year. Such a treasure.
This was such a great year. Her teachers were so sweet, nuturing and just loving. Sammie learned so much and really grew so independent this year. She has made lots of new friends and can't wait to start up again in the fall.
I am so proud of my little gal for all the work she's done. I just can't believe how fast it's all going by...love you Sammer!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year we drove down to Rio Rico and surprised Peter's mom. It was awesome. We got there while she was at church and whipped up a yummy lunch and when she got home she was totally surprised!
It was a great day. There was food, toys, bubbles, baseball, hide and seek, books and lots and lots of smiles and laughter.

Great Grandma Blankie

That's what Sammie calls Great Grandma...because she's the one who made the kids their blankies. It's sweet. We had a big family party for her 89th this year. It was really fun watching all o the kiddos playing together. Reminded me o my childhood...tons of kids running around all over the place. Good times! I think great grandma really enjoyed all of the attention. And we enjoyed a day with the family. It's not very often that we're all together.

BFF's

Today some BFF's came over and we enjoyed some food, fun and beautiful weather. Ana and Sammie were up to their usual shanaigans...dress up, wands, jewelry and playing house.
Today was a big day for Cole and Tyler. Pretty sure today was the first day they've ever actually played "together"--on purpose! If Tyler wasn't around Cole, he would put his hands to his face and yell, "Ty Ty..." Very cute:) It was a great day.

Car wash

Yesterday was a superb day. Peter took the kids to the zoo all morning. Then they napped for 3 hours...seriously! Ater naps it was car wash time. Cole and Sammie suited up and helped Peter wash the cars. Then it was to the back yard to play in the pool, have a snack and give Sammie her biog surprise! I got her this awesome quad car...couldn't pass it up-$20 at kidtokid. All in all a great day.
