Active McMovington

Cole has discovered that if he rolls/scoots he can have a different view. It must get very boring looking up all the time.
He is just changing so fast. He is now playing with his toys...grabbing, chewing, throwing them all over. Watch out Sammie---it's about to get very fun in the South house!!!

Rice cereal is out and oatmeal is in! We are now excited about eating...didn't think this would be a problem-ha!
This morning he had a mouthful of food and sneezed it all over...too bad I didn't have the camcorder ready!

My first haircut!

Today was the day...Samantha had her first haircut. It has been a long time coming...her hair was getting too long.
We went to SnipIts....I highly recommend this place! We walked in and she got a wrist band credit card to put in the "prize machine" , a sucker, and a movie to watch.
I wish my haricuts were this fun!
She kept saying, "Mommy, you're right...this IS fun"! So precious! She even got a pretty, pink bow. She put her "credit card" in the prize machine when we were done and it spit out some stickers...pretty hilarious!

Happy New Year!

Well, 2009 is here. Wow!
We had a very fun-filled day. First, Cole slept in until about 9:45...I guess he wasn't quite ready for a new year:) Samantha of course was up and ready to go at 7AM! Peter lounged and watched Twilight Zone..a very long-standing tradition!!!
We took a long walk down to the park. We packed a picnic, built sandcastles and ran...a lot! Then we napped...well some of us did.
Then Peter fired up the grill and made really yummy burgers. After dinner it was smores on our fire pit. Samantha even ate some marshmallows this time!
All in all it was a fun day.
We hope that 2009 will be as blessed as 2008. We love you all.

A day in the life of a princess...

Yes, it's just another Tuesday...but when you have all these great dress up outfits who needs an occasion?! The purple fairy outfit and the pink princess dress are a new addition from Grandma and Grandpa from Christmas.:)

I think we have a future actress or at least some sort of performer! She loves getting all fancied up and twirling around...ahh to be young again.

She kept asking me how she could get her wings to work! Haha!!!
