We're off to California tomorrow for my cousin Kristin's wedding. Samantha is going to be a flower girl...she is very excited. Although, she keeps asking me why she is going to put petals on the ground-very confusing for her.
The packing is done...hopefully. I can't imagine having more than 2 kids and going anywhere. Honestly. My head my explode if I think through what we need any more.
Pray for a peaceful car ride (10 hours tomorrow and 3-4 more on Saturday) and a smooth trip home as well.
You know there will be pics when we get back...we'll miss you all.

Tempe Beach Park
Yesterday we needed something to get us out of the house so we ventured out to Tempe Beach to check out the splash pad there. It was fun...but a little hot. Sammie and Ana had fun riding the whales and Sammie even tried out the water slide! Cole was happy splashing in the puddles and playing with the sprayers. It's going to be a fun...hot...summer!
Thanks Ana and Susan for coming along--it's always more fun with a pal!
Whale rider.
Go Ana go!
Catching spray.
Playing together.

Another day on the books...
Today was another fun day. It started with Maura coming over for breakfast, Dora, books and a hot game of Candyland. I was so proud, the girls set up the game and played all by themselves. It was pretty spectacular.
Candyland is the best!
Then Cole decided he is ready to take on snacky foods. He finally figured out how to use his mouth enough to choke down some sweet potato puffs. Let the snacking begin....

In they go...

Then, after naps it was time for fingerpainting and a dip. We are hoping for some good sleeping tonight!!!
I can see clearly now...
New windows have been a long time coming in the South house. One by one they started failing and we were basically paying to cool our front and back yards. So we went for it and got new windows. Sooo glad we did it and sooo glad we are done!
Demolition:
These pictures were hard for me to look at...I wasn't home when all of this took place. I packed up the kids and stayed away. Thanks grandpa for letting us camp out at your house!
The dust was unreal, although they did a great job cleaning up after themselves.
A view into the kitchen--where there is supposed to be a large sliding door!

Sammie's room exposed!

Yikes! Again, so glad I was not home for this part!!!

A view into our bedroom/bathroom.
Finished project:
After they were finished it was like a new house. And, they sent window cleaners...my windows will probably never be this clean again! Alright electric bill, let's see some results!

So new and shiny.
No more aluminum!
