Labor Day

We had a great Labor Day. The Hegarty's came over for some burgers and fun. The girls had fun playing in the pool, dress up-of course, and Grace played with Zoey--as always:) Thanks for a fun night Susan, Eric, Grace and Ana.

Random morning...

Yesterday morning we met up with Melissa, Maura and Maggie at a park by our house. It was a beautiful morning...but there were some dark clouds in the sky. Being familiar with Arizona storms (or lack there of) we figured we were safe. Well, we were wrong. We basically unpacked our cars...kids, buckets, trucks (all the essentials) and had about 5 minutes of play time before it started to come down. And it poured!!!
We couldn't tease the kids with a 5 minute playdate so we came back to the house to play. The girls were kind of stir crazy and Melissa and I remembered that Clifford was going to be at Tempe Marketplace Barnes and Noble. So we packed them all back into the cars and headed out. It was still pouring! Luckily the rain let up right as we pulled into the parking lot!
Sammie was talking a big talk about how excited she was to see Clifford and how she wanted him to take her for a ride--ha!!! When he walked in she hid behind me and wouldn't even go give him a high 5! I don't blame her...most of the kids were the same. Big, stuffed people animals freak me out a little too! We stayed for storytime and headed back home for a lazy rainy day.

Name Game

Samantha had her first 2 days of preschool and is loving it. When I picked her up on Thursday her teacher told me that she had a new little friend and that they were arm in arm all morning long! Super cute.
When I asked Sammie about her new friend this is what she said, "Mommy-her name is Megan-just like you--except we usually call you Mommy"!!!!!
I was rolling. She just cracks me up.

Making a splash

This has been the week of splash pad fun. Yesterday when Sammie was at preschool Cole went to play at the splashpad with his BFF Tyler. They rarely get to play together because their naps don't usually sync up. They mostly just snacked together but isn't that what friends do?
Then today we went back to meet up with some familiar faces. Ana and Maura met us for storytime, lunch and some splashing around. It was a great day.

A quick visit

We decided to go for a quick visit to see Grammie and Grandpa this weekend. It was a fast trip, but still fun and a nice get away. The kids had a blast playing with all of Grammie and Gpa's toys, the tent of course, and playing the piano. Cole can reach it now when he stands up to it! He would hit the keys and then look back like, "This is fun, am I doing something naughty?"!
