Ana Banana

After a week of vacation and two rounds of being sick and housebound, Sammie was ready for some quality friend time. So Ana came over this morning and played, and played and played! The girls had such a good time and were so sweet with each other. Susan and I keep saying we can't hardly believe we are at the stage where the girls can go play by themselves and there aren't any brawls. It's great!
Thanks Ana for coming over and playing. And thanks Susan for the yummy lunch. Let's do this again SOON!!!

First the girls got dressed up (of course). Then
we built a fort (castle) to play in. Then they decorated
Sammer's room with ribbons!

A little down time with a movie.

All snuggled up.

Chill...

Look who's up from his nap! Wowza!

Entertaining

Yesterday was a great day. Sammie and Cole played beautifully together and it was just a sweet thing to see.
Sammie shared her lolipop with Cole, who apparently loves them! Then after lunch Samantha transformed our floor mat into a boat and sailed all over the house. She was sliding it all around the house as Cole chased behind her. It is so entertaining to watch them play "together".

Wanna lick Cole?

I know we have lots of cool toys but let's play
in this awesome highchair fort!

It's a boat!

Here comes the boat, watch out!

Another fun visit with Nana

Nana came out to visit and celebrate Cole's first birthday. It was a fun visit, in spite of the fact that most of her visit the kids were sick. Nana was a trooper though and a great help. The kids got better and Peter and I even got to go on a date last night! The kids had a blast and were very good for her:)
We miss you Nana. Sammie said on the car ride home from the airport, "Mommy, I miss Nana already". Ugh, tear my heart out! So cute.
See you in November Nana. We love you!

Wrangling kiddos on the couch!

Reading, yes that's a Kendall (sp?) Sammie could
operate it by the end of the week!!!

Look how big he is!

Nana and her band. Yesterday there
was a concert...everyone had an
instrument and marched around the
house! It was quite the scene.

Out like a light

I just had to get this on film! When Cole goes down for his morning nap he always crawls to one side of his crib, gets all his animals around him and snuggles into a deep sleep (obviously-the sound of the camera didn't even make him flinch!)
Pacifiers all around just in case he needs one, of course! There are about 3 more animals in his crib-I can't believe they weren't under his arm, head or feet. That's where they usually are!
Sleep tight...

Cole's Birthday

Cole is one!!! Can't believe it. This last year has been a blur. The best blur ever, but still a blur! We had 2 parties this weekend. One at our house Saturday afternoon and one Sunday afternoon at Grandpa's house. It was a fun, busy and exhausting weekend and apparently we partied too hard because now both kids are sick.
We had so much fun visiting with all of our friends and family, thanks to everyone who made it out to celebrate with us. We love you all.
Here are some of the fun memories...sorry it took so long all you blogaholics.

We started the party weekend off with a visit from
the Olimbs. They came early (ok-5 hours early). Long story.
I am glad you came when you did-otherwise Asher and Sammer
may not have had the precious time that they did!

Sammie and Asher were holding hands and
walking around the house like they were on
their first date. They love each other-it is awesome!
Our family.

Sammie is always wanting to hold Cole...
he is not a fan of holding still!

My big birthday boy!

Enjoying some cake...mmm...

Nana, Cole and Grammie.
Sammie had SUCH a good time with her girls,
Karis and Ana. They spent the evening in Sammie's
room playing, dressing up and having a good time.

They couldn't look away from the mirror-ha!

Of course we playing "stick the tail on the donkey"--
a staple at our house...I don't know why?!

Pretty good Sammie!

Go Cole Go!
Day 2-party at Gpa's. Started off a
little rough. Scowly Cole was on the loose.
This is his new stinky face:)

Who me-MY birthday-wow!

A train cake for our little Cole Train.

Cole met his Great Grandpa-Papa John. Gpa's
always have the best accessories.

And he met his Great Gma Mary too. Nice jewelry!

Willow and Vivian (cousins) having a blast.
Diego-what a face!
Happy birthday to me!
