Sick Day

So today was supposed to be Sammer's first real day of preschool but she and Cole both have little summer colds. Coughing, gross nose situations, etc. So, for today we stay home.
Sammie has really been into the computer lately. The first thing she asked me this morning was if she could play a game on the computer. So cute! I am glad that we are into a new chapter of entertainment-the TV is getting old.
Hopefully this will be a quick cold and she can go to school later this week.

Playing "Dora's Adventure"

Concentration face.

Cole scaling the walls!

He'll be running through this house....very soon!

Just not tired...

Today Cole slept in. He had a great night's sleep and woke up happy. Then, it was time for a nap. He wasn't having it. I tried at 11:00. I tried at 12:00. Finally I left him in there and he threw out all of his toys and pacis and fell asleep sitting up (sort of) in his crib! This just cracks me up-leaning up against the side like it's a recliner! Such a man.

1st day of school

Today was Samantha's official first day of Preschool. It was a shortened morning and parents stayed so it wasn't really a true "day" but it was fun. We made a placemat with her picture that she'll use at snacktime, played, checked out the playground, had circle time and of course checked out the bathroom situation:) It was a great morning and Sammer is jazzed to go back Tuesday without me! Such a big girl!!!

Happy first day!

In front of her school.

Gluing her picture on her placemat.

Making new friends.

"Look Mommy-I can do it by myself!"

Sitting for circle time.

Cole learning how to raise his hand!

The playground.

She'll be ready for a nap when I pick her up!

Let's go home.

Mommy's helper

Lately Samantha has been wanting to help with everything...I mean everything. It is great, but sometimes adds a few extra minutes to the task at hand. That's ok though-she is a great helper.
Here she is helping me wash our windows!

In our Vakinis

This morning Ana came over to hang. The girls put on their "vakinis" as Sammie calls them and had a blast.
I, of course, put them to work. They washed off all of our outside play equipment. They didn't know it was work-they were just playing with the hose. They played in the pool, on the slide, in the mud puddles they created. It was great. A perfectly fun morning.
I love this age-they are so sweet to eachother. After they were done and were sitting on the patio having their snack, Sammie turned to Ana and said, "Ana I love you" and And said, "I love you too Sammer". Melt my heart:):)
