Bathroom Demo

So we are in the midst of a bathroom remodel. It has been a long time coming. 1980 was a long time ago, and it was time to upgrade! So....last week Peter tore everything out and had his little helper...A.K.A...Sammer Jammer helped him with some drywall patching.
She loves helping her daddy, with anything! And she is a great helper.

Hard work

Sammie and Cole got a Black and Decker tool set/dress up set for Chrismtas and it got put to goood use this week. Sammie found it and had to put all the gear on so she could get hard at work fixing things! My favorite part is that it came with this little tool belt where all the tools fit-super cute!
It's reassuring to me that she will play dress-up with something other than a princess dress!!

Hatter

Cole is going through this hat phase lately. He wants to try on or wear any hat he an get his hands on. The Easter bunny brought him a firefighter hat last Easter and he found it in one of his toy buckets in his rooms and came waltzing out of his room with it on backwards the other day. It just cracked me up!
The new hat of choice is his army hat. It has been hanging on the chair that he sits in to eat. The other morning he was eating his breakfast and when I came back to check on him he had it on. He just sat there with it on his head crooked and ate his eggs. He is turning into quite the little Mr. Personality!

Puddle jumpers

So this week we are supposed to have rain all week. Late this afternoon we had our first downpour. Samantha and Cole sat and looked out the window for probably about 30 minutes. They were just waiting for the rain to stop so they could find a rainbow and jump in puddles.
Nana got Sammie some rain boots a while ago and she has just been itching to use them:) Today she got her chance. It was so fun...except there weren't really any big puddles. Maybe tomorrow we'll have bigger puddles to blog:)

Afternoon at the Zoo

Today was a great day to head to the zoo, so we packed some lunches and headed out.
Mary and Tyler met up with us and we had a great day. First we had a picnic. Funny thing about packing a picnic...my kids will eat what you pack. They eat things they won't eat at home-weird-but it works! Then we checked out the petting zoo, monkeys, new komodo dragon (really cool) and then we were done.
The kids were all happy and friendly which is always a bonus. :) Thanks for the fun day Jacksons!
