Birthday girl for a day

Today at preschool Sammie had her school party. I got to bring in cookies and read a story to her class. Cole even got to come! He loves her school so it was pretty funny to see him sitting there with all the kiddos.
My favorite memories: seeing Samantha's gigantic smile when I dropped her off this morning and her teacher told her she got to make her crown. And, after cookies the kids went out to the playground where there was a little boy from another class who just fell in love with Cole. He kept telling everyone that Cole was his little brother! His teacher later told me--he has no little brother-ha! So funny.
Happy early birthday Sammer!!!

Birdhouse

As you know, our daughter loves to get out of bed in the middle of the night and come visit us. Well, that had to stop. So we started using a sticker chart and every time she stays in bed through the night she gets a sticker. Once the chart is filled, she gets a prize! I told her that I'd take her to the toy store, but because she is my daughter, she requested Hobby Lobby!!! Here she is with her latest loot. She was SO excited to take her Daddy to HL and get this tiny birdhouse. The things kids will work for.
I have been informed that at the completion of the next sticker chart she wants to get herself a new Barbie--a girl who knows what she wants-ha!

Painting the clubhouse

Today was the day that the kids go to paint their new clubhouse/fort/puppet theater that their Daddy fashioned for them. It is the box that our new vanity came in. Samantha is beside herself excited about all of the fun that will be had in this giant box! They have been playing in it everyday-it's great.
Out came the paints and they got to work. Paint, glitter and some sunshine...is there anything better in life? I don't think so.
I should have taken a picture of my bathtub after they got out---proof that I DO let my kids get crazy messy. Sometimes it's necessary!

Yes, he ate some!

Glitter! Yes, my boy loves glitter!

Hard at work.

Making it just right.
Let's do this. Ready to paint.
Before she got really messy.
Pouring glitter into the paint cup.
Happy camper.
